tax write off the organization must be a 501-C, non-profit
organization.
Also, ask the organization how much of the profit of the
sale of your car is going directly to the charity.

the Red Cross are used to help disaster victims when they
need it most. Proceeds from the sale of donated vehicles
enable workers to return to their jobs, children to return
to schools, and families to move back home or find new housing.
Vehicles which are unfit for driving provide a valuable
resource for parts.
